EMB Registration For Hazardous Waste Management Now Online

Hazardous waste generators, treaters and transporters can now start registering online as the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) opens the first phase of its online manifest system.

According to Atty. Jonas R. Leones, DENR Undersecretary and Concurrent EMB Director, the EMB aims for a faster, time-saving and seamless application process for hazardous waste management.

Stakeholders review EMB study

KEY players and stakeholders of the sugar industry in Western Visayas review a study conducted by the environment bureau on effluent standards on sugar milling and refineries.

Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, consultant Innogy Solutions Inc.(ISI) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) conducted the study.

The study was the main focus of a one-day public consultation on the development of Industry-Specific Effluent Standards (ISES) conducted at the Eon Centennial Plaza Hotel in Iloilo City.
